Welcome to the World of BBU Volunteering...
Greetings!
Being a not for profit organization, The Boston Bluegrass Union has been and always will be organized around it's team of dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers. We are proud to open our doors to you and hope that you will seriously consider becoming part of our 35year service to Bluegrass fans and artists.
Volunteers past and present are solely responsible for the wildly acclaimed Joe Val Bluegrass Festival, winner of the IBMA event of the year award. Our concert series at the Heritage museum in Lexington, Ma. Spring and Fall Pot luck dinners, Kids Academy, Boston Front Porch and Bluegrass in the Schools to name just a few of our ongoing all volunteer projects.
Current Opportunities
Our current volunteer needs are associated with the Joe Val Bluegrass Festival - if you are planning to come to the festival and are interested in volunteering, click here to learn more about the various volunteer tasks, and submit an application. Individuals who volunteer more than six hours can receive a rebate toward the cost of their weekend ticket.
