Check the web site to join the mailing list and find out who is playing this week. https://bluegrasstuesdays.com/ \n\n\n\n5:15 pm – My Beginner-to-Intermediate Bluegrass Jam continues to meet nearly every Tuesday\, but you’ll have to email me at tonywatt@gmail.com to be sure. This is a “teacher-directed” jam where we never know what songs we’re going to play\, but we’re limited to no instrumentals and no very fast nor very complex songs. \n\n\n\n6:30 pm – Kelley’s Intermediate Bluegrass Jam meets every week and is suitable for those who have some experience jamming already and can play songs and tunes\, recognize chord changes\, and play well with others. \n\n\n\n6:45 pm – Ed’s Fiddle Tunes at 80 BPM Jam now meets in the hallway behind the kitchen\, right by the stairwell to the garage. This jam focuses on classic bluegrass instrumentals played at very reasonable tempos. \n\n\n\n7:00 pm – Wayne’s Intermediate-to-Advanced Bluegrass Jam typically evolves out of Kelley’s Intermediate Jam and then moves out back unless the weather is nice enough to play outside. \n\n\n\nPlus\, jamming throughout the restaurant until all hours! \n\n\n\nFor more information about any of these jams\, please visithttps://bluegrasstuesdays.com/jams.html and email me at tonywatt@gmail.com if you have any questions.

Welcome back\, Mark Schatz\, who performed at notloB concert #215 on August 24\, 2019. This performance will be outdoors; if inclement weather\, it will be moved indoors. \nA two-time winner of the IBMA Bass Player of the Year Award\, Mark is best known for his contributions on some of the most iconic recordings in bluegrass by artists such as Tony Rice\, Bela Fleck\, John Hartford\, Claire Lynch\, Tim O’Brien\, Sara Jarosz\, and Nickel Creek. But Mark is also a master of the clawhammer banjo and is featured playing his own compositions on two solo projects on Rounder Records\, BRAND NEW OLD TYME WAY and STEPPIN’ IN THE BOILER HOUSE. Mark is always ready to cut loose with some Southern Appalachian clogging and hambone\, and his stagecraft was honed through a long association with the acclaimed Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble\, for whom he still serves as Musical Director. \n“Mark Schatz – The Solo Concert” offers Mark the opportunity to engage an audience in a very personal way with his unique and animated charm and broad skill set. He pulls out all of the stops on banjo\, bass and guitar\, presenting songs\, stories\, and tunes\, tapping on a board\, dancing\, and reciting poetry\, offering a vaudevillian feast for the eyes and ears. \nAlways in demand both in the studio and on the road\, Mark appears on Bela Fleck’s most recent Grammy nominated project\, Rhapsody in Blue.
