DESCRIPTION:Bluegrass Tuesdays jams continue at The Smoot Standard and the patio at Naco Taco in Central Square in Cambridge\, but we are shifting the start times forward by a half-hour. Bluegrass Tuesdays regularly scheduled jams will now be meeting on the following schedule: \n6:15 pm – Beg-to-Int Bluegrass Jam (email tony…@gmail.com to join)\n7:30 pm – Kelley’s Intermediate Bluegrass Jam\n7:45 pm – Ed’s Slow-to-Medium Instrumental Jam\n8:00 pm – Wayne’s Intermediate-to-Advanced Bluegrass Jam \nThanks to Chris Parsons (chef/owner of Lily RIP’s)\, our jams now meet every Tuesday at these two restaurants (rain or shine). Naco Taco is owned by the same folks as Smoots and is another sister restaurant of Lily P’s. The Smoot Standard is located at 313 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge\, MA 02139\, while Naco Taco is at 297 Mass. Ave. Smoot’s kitchen will be open until 9 pm\, and drinks will be available late from JamBassador Jack. \nFood and drinks are available at both locations\, but I cannot stress this highly enough: DO NOT carry alcohol between the two restaurants. You can purchase alcoholic drinks at either location\, but you must finish your drinks there – you CANNOT carry them down the sidewalk between the restaurants. DESCRIPTION:The Concord Bluegrass Band is an intermediate level ensemble\, ideal for folks who are looking to play bluegrass music in an organized band setting. This ensemble experience will hone in on each instrument’s role as a member of a bluegrass band and give folks the opportunity to sing and pick their favorite bluegrass standards. The course will culminate in a short performance. Let’s pick!  \nParticipants should be familiar with several songs tunes in the style\, play their instrument at an intermediate level\, and hold their own in a jam session. If you’re unsure whether this class is a good fit\, please email Student Services Manager Emma Huggard with a description of your background and we’ll help you.  \nThis is open to all voices and acoustic string instruments. In keeping with authenticity\, the ensemble will fit no more than two of any instrument with an overall capacity of 6 members.

DESCRIPTION:Old Time Jam hosted by Betsy Green first Tuesday of the month\, except August is the first Sunday.\n\n\n\nCome be part of The Word Barn’s monthly old-time jam session!\n\n\n\nAll levels and all instruments are welcome.\n\n\n\nBring your banjo\, fiddle\, guitar\, mandolin – or whatever old-time acoustic instrument you have – and spend a few hours playing along with fellow musicians of all skill levels and backgrounds.\n\n\n\nHeld every third Tuesday of the month. On warm evenings\, we’ll circle up in the Meadow around the campfire; on cooler evenings\, we’ll be cozy inside The Word Barn itself.\n\n\n\nDon’t play an instrument? Come on over\, kick back\, and enjoy the tunes!\n\n\n\nFree admission for all – donations accepted. Registration requested (space is limited).\n\n\n\nAfter catching up\, sharing a pint (or two)\, and choosing a key\, the music will begin\, with a last call for tunes coming around 8:45pm.\n\n\n\nSessions are led by uber talented fiddler\, Betsy Green.\n\n\n\n**Please note and watch the calendar – Old-Time Jam session dates are subject to shift from the 3rd Tuesday as needed due to holidays and conflicts.\n\n\n\nSpecial thanks to the NH State Council on the Arts. DESCRIPTION:Bluegrass Tuesdays jams continue at The Smoot Standard and the patio at Naco Taco in Central Square in Cambridge\, but we are shifting the start times forward by a half-hour. Bluegrass Tuesdays regularly scheduled jams will now be meeting on the following schedule: \n6:15 pm – Beg-to-Int Bluegrass Jam (email tony…@gmail.com to join)\n7:30 pm – Kelley’s Intermediate Bluegrass Jam\n7:45 pm – Ed’s Slow-to-Medium Instrumental Jam\n8:00 pm – Wayne’s Intermediate-to-Advanced Bluegrass Jam \nThanks to Chris Parsons (chef/owner of Lily RIP’s)\, our jams now meet every Tuesday at these two restaurants (rain or shine). Naco Taco is owned by the same folks as Smoots and is another sister restaurant of Lily P’s. The Smoot Standard is located at 313 Mass. Ave. in Cambridge\, MA 02139\, while Naco Taco is at 297 Mass. Ave. Smoot’s kitchen will be open until 9 pm\, and drinks will be available late from JamBassador Jack. \nFood and drinks are available at both locations\, but I cannot stress this highly enough: DO NOT carry alcohol between the two restaurants. You can purchase alcoholic drinks at either location\, but you must finish your drinks there – you CANNOT carry them down the sidewalk between the restaurants.
