This is a “teacher-directed” jam where we never know what songs we’re going to play\, but we’re limited to no instrumentals and no very fast nor very complex songs. \n\n\n\n6:30 pm – Kelley’s Intermediate Bluegrass Jam meets every week and is suitable for those who have some experience jamming already and can play songs and tunes\, recognize chord changes\, and play well with others. \n\n\n\n6:45 pm – Ed’s Fiddle Tunes at 80 BPM Jam now meets in the hallway behind the kitchen\, right by the stairwell to the garage. DESCRIPTION:The weekly Tuftonboro Country\, Bluegrass & Gospel Music Jam Session continues at the historic Old White Church of Center Tuftonboro every Tuesday from 6:30 until about 9:30 pm.  Fans of country\, bluegrass and gospel music are invited to enjoy an evening of music. DESCRIPTION:All pickers\, singers and Bluegrass fans are invited to join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month at Backbeat Brewing in Beverly\, MA.  The jam starts at 7pm and runs until at least 10 (usually ends closer to midnight!) \n\n\n\nThere is plenty of on-street parking. (Meters run to 8pm in Beverly) \n\n\n\nThe taps offer many delicious brews ranging from NE IPA’s to genuine English style cask ales\, and the kitchen cooks up tasty thin crust pizzas (available in gluten free and vegan options).

SUMMARY:OTAF Old Time Jam at Russell Field
DESCRIPTION:Old-Time Almost Fridays jams will be moving to the Russell Field Playground near Alewife in N. Cambridge. It’s less than a quarter-mile from the end of Route 2\, has ample parking\, and is less than a five-minute walk from the Alewife T Station. The schedule of the jams will remain similar: \n7:30 pm Beg/Int Old-Time Jam\n8:30 pm Int/Adv Old-Time Jam \nWeekly hosts will keep things moving along. \nHere’s what we’ve learned about jamming at the Russell Field Playground: \n(1) There are two parking lots on Rindge Ave. on either side of the little league park (Comeau Field): the lot with the cul-de-sac (to the west of the field) is usually full\, but there’s tons of space in the lot to the east of the ballpark\, which is the lot for the Francis J. McCrehan Swimming Pool at 359 Rindge Ave.\, in Cambridge\, MA 02140 (please note this is not the same location as Russell Field\, which is the football field next-door). \n(2) We often jam near the sprinkler spot (a.k.a. splash pad) near the yellow canopy\, which is between the pool\, the playground\, and the ball field. \n(3) There are working port-a-johns right there\, so everyone can have that true “festival experience”. \n(4) Please bring a folding chair (preferably without arms). \n(5) It’s not as well lit as some people might like\, so if you have a small camping lantern\, you might want to bring one. \n(6) Mosquitos were mostly not an issue\, but you still might want to bring bug spray or wear heavier clothes\, as long as it’s not too hot.
