Andy Statman/Jake Eddy Trio

GuitartownCT 166 Mather Street, Hamden, CT

A somewhat unlikely but brilliant pairing; mandolin virtuoso Andy Statman from Brooklyn, and guitar whiz Jake Eddy from West Virginia. Statman is a legend on both mandolin and clarinet, playing bluegrass and klezmer. He has played with everyone from Ricky Skaggs to Itzhak Perlman, and is highly esteemed in both worlds. Jake Eddy started out playing banjo with the legendary Melvin Goins. He's currently guitarist with the Becky Buller Band, when not touring his own group. Jake's younger brother Carter Eddy is developing a well- earned reputation as a fantastic bassist, and harmony singer too. When players of this caliber get together, who knows what they'll come up with? The sky's the limit, but great music is guaranteed!
