Della Mae returns to Newburyport for their second appearance at the Belleville Roots Music Concert Series. Since its formation in 2009, Della Mae, the Boston bred, Nashville based outfit, has established a reputation as a charismatic, hard-touring live act, building a large and enthusiastic fan base while racking up critical acclaim for its first two albums. Members of the band are Celia Woodsmith-vocals, guitar, Kimber Ludiker-fiddle, vocals, Jenni Lyn Gardner-mandolin, vocals, Courtney Hartman-guitar, banjo,vocals, and Zoe Guigueno-bass, vocals.

Heartfelt, energetic and down home, The Barefoot Movement is "one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene" (CMT Edge).  Their down to earth music ranges from poignant ballads to rip-roaring barn-burners, and takes audiences back to a simpler place and time, inviting  listeners to sit back, relax, take their shoes off and stay a while.  In the five years since The Barefoot Movement took off their shoes and took to the stage, they have enjoyed almost non-stop touring, from crisscrossing the US to a trip to Burkina Faso, Africa, where they were guests of the American Embassy.  They have appeared in Country Weekly Magazine, on CMT Edge, Music City Roots and Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour, and have released three CDs. The "movement" can be traced back to the teen years of singer-songwriter and fiddler Noah Wall of Oxford, NC. – The New Bedford Folk Festival will celebrate its milestone 20th Anniversary from Saturday July 4 through Sunday July 5, 2015 with an impressive lineup of the best in contemporary, Americana, traditional,  blues and Celtic folk music.  Folk icon Tom Rush and Grammy Award winner John Hammond, are joined by over 50 performers and groups including Susan Werner, Patty Larkin, Catie Curtis, The Nields, Peter Mulvey, Vance Gilbert, The Boxcar Lilies, the Welsh group Calan, folk and jazz fiddler Jeremy Kittel and many more. The festival runs from 11 am to 9 pm both days and is located in the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center and the Whaling National Historical Park in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
