The Onlies

The Onlies are Sami Braman (fiddle, vocals, guitar), Riley Calcagno, and Leo Shannon (both of whom sing and play fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo). When a young band is recommended by the likes of Darol Anger, Brittany Haas, Tristan Clairridge and Kristin Andreassen (notloBBers all), one listens...and responds...and books. All three are only children (hence 'The Onlies") and are juniors at Seattle'sGarfield High School. They will be traveling to the Boston and Amherst areas to look at colleges during spring break. We understand they are top-notch musicians; they're also charming, witty, and fun before audiences large and small. They've played gigs up and down the West Coast, and have been featured performers at Northwest Folklife, the Berkeley Oldtime Music Convention, and the The Festival of American Fiddle Tunes. notloB gives you once again the opportunity to be able to say "I saw them when." Admission by free-will offering, $5-10+ suggested. Reservations througheventbrite.com NotloB Music presents... The Onlies Friday, April 17, 2015. Grass Roots Coffeehouse welcomes The Stable Hands

Grass Roots Coffeehouse Rockdale Congregational Church 42 Fowler Road, Northbridge, MA

The Grass Roots Coffeehouse welcomes “The Stable Hands” on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 7:30 PM The Stable Hands Band is unique in that it did not start out to be a band, it just happened. It all began with a friendship that grew naturally with an appreciation of the music, and a love and respect for each other. They practice music as an art form within the bluegrass genre and are excited to present their collection of original material. The band enjoys working with each other and collaborating with special emphasis on the fun part of arranging a new song and hearing it come to life. The Stable Hands are Rick and Janet Baskowski, banjo/guitar of North Brookfield, MA, and Sue and Tom Connolly, upright bass/ mandolin of Chatham, N.Y. They are two married couples that have grown into a family of close friends. You will laugh and cry as they deliver their “brand” of contemporary Acoustic Bluegrass. The Grass Roots Coffeehouse is located at the Rockdale Congregational Church, 42 Fowler Road, Northbridge, MA. Hot foods, beverages and desserts are available. A portion of the proceeds goes to benefit the church. Doors open at 6:45 and admission is $12/$10 seniors (60+), $5 students. The Stockwell Brothers

Mole Hill Theatre 789 Gilsum Mine Road, Alstead, NH

Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000149 EndHTML:0000001851 StartFragment:0000000199 EndFragment:0000001817 StartSelection:0000000199 EndSelection:0000001817 Mole Hill Theatre presents contemporary bluegrass and folk music trio The Stockwell Brothers on Friday, April 24 at 7:30 pm. Bruce, Barry and Alan Stockwell's music spans traditional and progressive styles, but their trademark acoustic sound features new singer/songwriter material recast with banjo, alternative rhythms and three-part harmonies.  They cover straight ahead bluegrass songs, finger picked acoustic guitar ballads, full tilt breakdowns and traditional mandolin tunes mixed in with more unusual fare - Americana melodies riding world beat grooves and Celtic, jazzy, even neo-classical instrumentals. Featuring 2005 Merlefest bluegrass banjo contest winner Bruce Stockwell, The Stockwell Brothers have performed alongside artists from Bill Monroe, Doc Watson and Earl Scruggs to Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Jonathan Edwards and Asleep At The Wheel, recorded with Mike Auldridge and Phil Rosenthal of the bluegrass supergroup The Seldom Scene, and toured throughout the United States and in Canada and Europe.  As a trio, they have released two albums, Stobro and Leave My Dreams Alone.  “Tasty arrangements; brotherly harmonies, perfectly blended instruments and great songs.” – Music Revue Mole Hill Theatre is located at 789 Gilsum Mine Road in Alstead, NH.  Tickets are $10 At the Door.  This is an all ages listening event.  BYOB.  For information, call 603-352-2585.  For more information, visit www. stockwellbrothers.com.
