Upcoming Bluegrass Related Events

EVERY TUESDAY THROUGH AUGUST. The Tuftonboro weekly old-fashion country, bluegrass and gospel music jam session is held at the historic Old White Church of Center Tuftonboro. Everyone is invited to attend the jam session while enjoying some cookies and a cup of coffee, every Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm for the months of June through August. The jam sessions are free and all singers, instrumentalists and fans of country, bluegrass and gospel music are welcome to enjoy the fun.  The doors open at 6:00, the music starts at 6:30 and continues until 9:30 pm. The Old White Church is located on Route 109A, just across from the Tuftonboro General Store & Post Office. Bluegrass and Old-Time Jam in Monterey, MA on the Second Tuesday of every month, 6:30PM-8:30PM. Meet in the basement of The Monterey Meeting House on the corner of Tyringham Rd and Monterey Rd (rt 23) in  Monterey, MA 01245. All skill levels are welcome. Bring your instruments and your songs. Bluegrass Jam in Newmarket, NH every Tuesday night at the Stone Church Music Club.   Hosted by Old Time Dave Talmage. The Stone Church, despite it's wholesome sounding name is a bar and there's a pretty strong UNH crowd that shows up to drink and dance. Open, single mic jam to an appreciative audience!

Weekly Bluegrass Jam on Thursdays at Sam's Restaurant & Pizzeria, 149 Bradford St, Bristol, RI 02809   (401) 253-7949. Starting time: 6:00 PM

Monthly jam the 1st Thursday of each month at the Willowbrook Restaurant, Mendon, MA from 6-9pm. Come early if you can, the food is very good and reasonably priced. There is a large parking lot, so no problem with parking your cars. The address is 16 Hastings Street (route 16) in Mendon MA. For anyone coming from I495, it is best to not take highway 16 through Milford. That is a hassle at that time of day. Take exit 18 for highway 126 in Bellingham, and head west. Route 126 will turn left in a couple of blocks. Do not turn left. Keep going straight and you will come to a stop light at highway 140 in about 3 miles. Continue straight through this light, and in a few more miles it will take you into Mendon. When you arrive in Mendon there will be a Y. Stay to the right and proceed one block to the stop light at route 16. Make a left at this light, the Willowbrook is just about a block up on your left. Acoustic Jam the 1st Thursday of the Month from 7-9pm at The Fiddle Center, PO Box 644, 300 East Main St. (Rt 9), East Brookfield, Ma. 01515. http://www.fiddlecenter.com/ The jam is open to anyone who enjoys playing acoustic music with other musicians. A variety of musicians show up regularly for the jams with fiddles,mandolins,banjos,dulcimers,bass,guitars,and dobros. Styles vary from old-time to gospel to bluegrass to classic rock.
