DESCRIPTION:Blackstone Valley Bluegrass will be playing in Whitinsville MA on 8/6 6-8 PM. The concert is sponsored by ValleyCAST\, and is being held at the Dennis Rice Community Plaza at 50 Douglas Road. Parking is acrosss the street from the plaza. The concert will be held outdoors but may be moved inside the Singh Theatre in the event of foul weather. Chairs are provided. Also\, our program is supported in part by a grant from the Northbridge Cultural Council\, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council\, a state agency. \nBlackstone Valley Bluegrass came to be in 1998 for the town of Northbridge Summer Concert series which eventually morphed into the current concert series run by the fine folks at ValleyCAST\, the arts & culture arm of Open Sky. Together they believe in the power of Community! Concerts are on Thursday evenings throughout July and August. We hope to see you there on August 6!!

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the seventh annual Ocean State Bluegrass Festival\, Friday\, August 14 through Sunday\, August 16\, 2026 at Frerichs Farm in Warren\, RI. The event is sponsored by the Rhode Island Bluegrass Alliance (RIBA). \nFestival + Camping ticket ($50) – includes one camping space for the duration of the event (Friday evening through Sunday afternoon) and all activities\, workshops and show admission for one person\, and parking for one vehicle (one RV or one car\, if camper or tent camping) at the camp site. Additional people staying at the same camp site must purchase a Festival ticket and additional vehicles are $5 and must park in the parking field. Dry camping only (no water or electrical hookups available). \nFestival ticket ($30) – includes all activities\, workshops and show admission for one person. Does not include camping or parking. Admission is free for children 14 years old and younger.

DESCRIPTION:The Whately Old Time Jam takes place each month on the third Tuesday from 7pm-9pm-ish\, unless there is a special event preceding the jam such as workshop. We gather in Whately Town Hall Audititorium in Whately\, Massachusetts.\nThis is an Old Time jam\, keeping to tunes and songs in the Old Time repertoire. Speed and tunes will be up to those who attend. We’ll go round the circle so everyone can choose tunes and pace. Old Time chestnuts\, waltzes\, obscure and/or crooked tunes\, tunes that don’t resolve\, tunes with questionable chords\, tunes with weird numbers of A/B/C/D/E parts – all welcome if someone can lead it.
