SUMMARY:The Flat Earth Rounders
DESCRIPTION:Each month on the Second Tuesday at Toad/McCarthy’s \nThe Flat Earth Rounders are an omin-trad genre-fluid old timey stringband led by bandleader Zach Meyer. Propelled by Zach’s deep-seated and universal connection to roots music of all kinds combined with his ability to play whichever instrument is most fitting\, the Flat Earth Rounders repertoire spans a wide variety of roots music deep cuts ranging from Appalachian fiddle tunes\, to Cajun dancehall classics\, to 1930s clarinet rags\, and more!  \nBacking Zach are a rotating cast of local all stars\, including Erica Weiss\, Oliver Strand\, Rachel Rosenberg\, Riley Mullaney\, Ben Wetherbee\, and Dan Bui. Together\, the crew is heralding a Boston-based revival of the 1980s Seattle folk revival\, preserving the music composed and recorded by luminaries such as Jack Link\, Hank Bradley\, Mark Graham\, the Hurricane Ridge Runners\, and Zach’s own father\, Bill\, while adding their own modern twist.

DESCRIPTION:Third Tuesday of the month from 2-4 PM. The first jam is July 15. No jam in August\, then start again in September.\nLocation: Harvey Wheeler Community Center\, 1276 Main St\, Concord\, MA 01742\nThe entrance to the parking lot is on Church St. Enter the building from the parking lot. This space is run by the Concord Council on Aging\, but all ages are welcome to the jam. There should be someone sitting at the entrance desk who can point you to the room. You might be asked to sign in.
