His melodic and rhythmic inventiveness and unique phrasing, coupled with amazing technique, put him at the very peak of the bluegrass guitar world. Bluegrass' most influential guitarists? Lester Flatt, Doc Watson, Clarence White, Tony Rice,...... and David Grier. Exalted company, to be sure, but when you hear him you'll understand why.

Where bluegrass and jazz meet! Virtuoso mandolinist Flinner's renowned trio includes guitarist Ross Martin and bassist Eric Thorin. They are joined by brilliant NYC jazz guitarist Ben Monder for this special evening.

On May 20, 2018, we celebrate our 10th anniversary. An all star bluegrass band made up of Josh Williams, Doyle Lawson, Rickie Simpkins, Justin Moses and Todd Phillips will be playing the music of Tony Rice Unit and the Bluegrass Album Band.

Carloyn Kendrick fiddle and Jake Howard mandolin are an award winning duo, originally from Boston and now living in Austin, TX. 2016 FreshGrass Festival best duo winners. Bluegrass, old blues and original tunes in a catchy style.

From Georgia, Little Roy & Lizzy are one of the most entertaining acts in bluegrass today. Front man Little Roy Lewis, 77, is a banjo master, comedian and story teller. Lizzy Long, virtuoso on fiddle, banjo and guitar, has a fantastic voice, and tries to keep Little Roy’s antics in check. Festival favorites, they play traditional bluegrass, country and gospel, with comedy thrown in everywhere.

Hailing from opposite ends of the Appalachian mountains, Zoe & Cloyd is renowned fiddler and vocalist Natalya Zoe Weinstein and award-winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist John Cloyd Miller. Their show is as diverse as their upbringing, with soaring harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, seamlessly combining original bluegrass, klezmer, old-time and folk. Their band includes Bennett Sullivan on banjo and Nate Sabat on bass. Outdoor concert, bring a chair, refreshments, and maybe a picnic supper.
