Blue Plate Special sings and plays original music deeply rooted in the American tradition. Their heartbreaking “She Left Me” and “Willow Don’t Weep” will pull on heartstrings while “I Ain’t Famous Yet” and “Nowhere Fast” will have the audience smiling and singing along.
2019 was an exciting year for Northern New Jersey based Blue Plate Special. BPS played all over the New York metro area including The Highlands Bluegrass Festival in Sloatsburg, NY and showcased at The New England Regional Folk Alliance Conference in Stamford CT. Their 2020 vision is coming into focus with a January appearance on John Platt’s “On Your Radar” at The Rockwood Music Hall in NYC. The band is thrilled to be showcasing at Joe Val and is looking forward to seeing bluegrass friends, old and new.
