The Korey Brodsky Band, based in Newtown Connecticut, features 2013 International Bluegrass Music Association Youth All-Star and perennial contest winner Korey Brodsky on both guitar and mandolin. Korey has been featured in Flatpicking Guitar Magazine and he just released his debut album Cruizin’ in October of 2016. It has been played on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Bluegrass Junction and has received rave reviews. Sofia Chiarandini on fiddle and lead vocal is a Berklee College of Music-Grey Fox summer program scholarship award recipient. Extraordinary multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Dick Neal plays guitar, mandolin, and banjo and sings lead and harmony. Veteran upright bass player Rick Brodsky adds a driving rhythm for the band and sings lead and harmony. Performing contemporary and traditional bluegrass and swing, as well as originals, The Korey Brodsky Band has played many popular regional venues and festivals in Northeast.
