A joyous evening of high energy bluegrass in the beautifully restored Sanford Springvale Historical Museum. Doors open 6:45. Concert begins at 7:30. Refreshments during intermission. On Saturday April 29. the Concord Conservatory of Music continues their American Roots series with Southern Rail. Southern Rail’s bluegrass is high octane exuberant fun with stunning harmonies, irrepressible good humor and sparkling banjo, guitar and mandolin.
Five seasoned musicians from Southern New England, this bluegrass band has been receiving lots of attention and radio airplay lately. They were a 2021 IBMA Showcase band.
Three masterful genre-benders—Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain, and Edgar Meyer—come together once again to blur geographic borders and musical boundaries for an exuberantly virtuosic and exciting evening of music. Bluegrass, classical, global music, jazz, and more come together and recombine in unheard-of ways. Their joy is palpable, and the audience will share the excitement and enthusiasm!
