3rd Friday Jam at PCA

Parish Center for the Arts 10 Lincoln St, Westford, MA

Featuring, but not limited to Bluegrass music Bring your Guitar, Banjo, Fiddle, Bass, Dobro, Harp (all types), mandolin, bones, etc.. and come and enjoy a night of great music. The Parish Center For The Arts (The PCA). 10 Lincoln Street Westford, MA PCA is a BYOB facility, so feel free to bring snacks, a bottle, whatever! Please bring whatever you need, and be sure to police up everything when we go. I ask you to leave no trash, garbage, bottles, cans, etc behind. There are chairs and tables as needed. This is a pass-the-hat event, with proceeds going to the PCA to offset the cost of our usage. Welcome to players of all skill levels and audiences alike. Free parking Monthly on 3rd Fridays, 7-10pm

Southern Rail at the Bull Run

The Bull Run Restaurant 215 Great Road, Shirley, MA

Southern Rail's concerts are high octane exuberant fun with stunning harmonies, irrepressible good humor and sparkling banjo, guitar and mandolin. Their repertoire is fresh and diverse, featuring lots of originals plus a kaleidoscope of cover.  There will be a special concert dinner menu which is outstanding!  Reservations are recommended as the room fills up quickly.

First brought together by Brooklyn’s tight-knit old-time music community in 2017, Nora Brown and Stephanie Coleman share a rich musical partnership that belies their 20 year age difference. Dirk and Amelia Powell are a daughter/father duo with strong roots in the bayous of Louisiana and the mountains of Kentucky.

Backbeat 4th Thursday Jam – Beverly

Backbeat Brewing 31A Park, Beverly, MA

7-9:30 pm every 4th Thursday at Backbeat Brewing in Beverly, MA. Join us the 4th Thursday of every month to listen or play! All levels welcome. Our first jam in May was a big success with over twenty players jamming in the restaurant and out on the patio. Lively bluegrass filled the air and judging by the hearty applause, everyone loved it! The Backbeat menu feature two dozen delicious beers on tap, and the kitchen cooks up tasty thin-crust pizzas (including a gluten-free option) and various appetizers. Backbeat is located at 31 Park St (just off Rantoul), directly across the street from the Beverly Depot train station. There is plenty of on-street parking. WUMB Presents Twisted Pine, Damn Tall Buildings & Ali McGuirk

WUMB presents Boston's own Twisted Pine celebrating their record release "Love Your Mind" with friends Damn Tall Buildings and Ali McGuirk -- all home for the holiday. Doors open at 7 pm. Tix range from $15-20 in advance. Twisted Pine / LOVE YOUR MIND On October 18th, Twisted Pine releases its joyous third LP, Love Your Mind, on Signature Sounds Recordings. The title represents the quartet landing on a more expansive sound than ever, after years of touring, serious introspection, bouts of self-doubt, glorious bursts of creativity, and many after-hour festival jam sessions and pickin’ till dawn. Co-produced by the band and longtime-collaborator Dan Cardinal at his studio Dimension Sound in Boston, the record is loaded with experimental production, fearless songwriting featuring input from each member, finely-crafted collaborative arrangements, playing that’s virtuosic and visceral. It's a reflection of what the band listens to. It’s buoyant pop and delicate folk, raging old-time energy, and old-school r&b grooves.

New Song presents Southern Rail

Southern Rail's concerts are joyous and engaging with stunning harmonies, irrepressible good humor and sparkling banjo, guitar and mandolin. Their repertoire is fresh and diverse, featuring lots of originals plus a kaleidoscope of covers. Two of the band's founding members (guitarist Jim Muller and bassist Sharon Horovitch) were recently inducted into the RIBA Hall of Fame. Tix in advance and at the door.  Doors open at 7.  Great refreshments during intermission.

Southern Buffet & Bluegrass in Sudbury with Southern Rail

Mardis Gras Night  featuring a Southern style home cooked dinner and a the high energy exuberance of  Southern Rail!   Snow date will be Sunday Feb. 9. Appetizers at 4:30.  Dinner 5-6.  Cash bar.  Concert 6-8.  A limited number of concert only tickets will be available.  Last year was a complete sell-out, so reservations highly recommended.
